    The online component to the MacGuffin Journal, edited by Ken Mogg. Lists a number of articles, resources, and primary sources on Hitchcock, mostly posted by the members of the group, who are scholars and regular contributors to MacGuffin.
  • American Society of Cinematographers  
    The website for the American Society of Cinematographers features news updates, limited access to the Society's publication American Cinematographer, and tutorials for amateur and novice filmmakers.
  • Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film  
    Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film covers the world of creative independent filmmaking¡ªavant-garde, experimental, underground and cult film¡ªand features reviews, trailers, film festival lineups, filmmaker interviews, image galleries, short films, and news.
  • Bright Lights Film Journal  
    Bright Lights Film Journal is an online publication devoted to examining "classic and commercial, independent, exploitation, and international film from a wide range of vantage points from the aesthetic to the political." In addition to original articles on film criticism, the Journal also regularly features book and film reviews.
  • British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA)  
    BAFTA is the leading independent charity supporting, developing, and promoting the art forms of the moving image in the UK, from Film and Television to Video Games and Interactive Media. The website offers articles, photos, videos, podcasts, a guide to directing, a calendar of events, as well as a searchable database of BAFTA award winners.
  • Cahiers du Cinema  
    The main page of the website for the influential French film magazine cofounded by Andr¨¦ Bazin is available in multiple languages. Back issues can be ordered and are indexed and searchable in the archive (only available in French) by issue number, date, title, author, interviewer, film, director, or production year.
  • Canadian Journal of Film Studies   Peer Reviewed
    The Canadian Journal of Film Studies / Revue Canadienne d¡¯¨¦tudes cin¨¦matographiques is an academic peer-reviewed film journal that is published bi-annually. It launched in 1990, and the complete archive is available online for PDF download.
  • Chicago Reader Brief Reviews  
    The Chicago Reader's searchable archive of brief movie reviews contains more than 10,000 capsule reviews by current and past critics, including Jonathan Rosenbaum and Dave Kehr. Some full-length reviews, dating from 1988, are also available on the site.
  • CineAction  
    The Canadian journal CineAction aims for radical criticism and scholarship on moving image media including a range of cinemas and experimental film and video. Though their website does not archive full-text articles, the journal has indexed its entire catalogue online, and back issues can be ordered.
  • Cineaste  
    Cineaste is a quarterly film journal in publication since 1967 with reviews, articles, and interviews. Selected issues since 2001 are archived with article titles, authors, abstracts, and occassionally a few online, full-text articles. All issues back to 1976 are catalogued with keyword descriptions of articles.
  • Cinema Scope  
    Past issues of this international cinema journal, published in Canada, are available for order and listed by article keywords and filmmakers. Recent issues are listed with full tables of contents and a number of links to full-text articles.
  • Cinetext  
    A bilingual (English and German) Internet forum for film and philosophy maintained by the University of Vienna. The "Cinelinks" section provides links to a number of interesting websites, organized by topics like cognitivism, psychoanalysis, and film noir.

    This website makes available almost the entire first eight volumes of the Australian cinema and media journal Continuum. Each issue is organized around a common theme and each features a number of articles, reviews, and forums.
  • Convergence   Peer Reviewed
    Founded in 1995, Convergence is a quarterly journal published by the University of Bedfordshire in England and established "to address the creative, social, political, and pedagogical issues raised by the advent of new media technologies." Articles are indexed online by issue (with abstracts) as well as by author.

    Published biannually, CST examines the production, reception, and aesthetics of television fiction, past and present. Abstracts are available for all articles from current and past issues, and the site has an excellent resources section linking to further reading on television studies.

    Published between 2005 and 2007, Criticine was an online publication dedicated to Southeast Asian cinema, edited by Alexis A. Tioseco.
  • Digital Media FX  
    Digital Media FX is an online publication for animators, visual effects technicians, and video game designers. The website's archives holds a number of interviews with animators and technicians, as well as many articles on practical issues regarding animation alongside examinations of earlier animation technology.
  • Documentary Box  
    Documentary Box was a journal devoted to covering recent trends in making and thinking about documentaries. Twenty-eight issues were published from September 1992 to October 2007. Most articles are available online.
  • Film & History   Paid Subscription Required Peer Reviewed
    Film & History is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal that studies the exchanges between film and history. The journal is affiliated with the American Historical Association and operates under the direction of the Center for the Study of Film and History.
  • Film Comment  
    The website for the Film Society of Lincoln Center's magazine of contemporary film criticism provides a detailed index of past issues. All back issues are available for order and selected articles since 1997 are provided in full.
